i suppose the idea is that there's probably some amount for which david would put up of his own money, and since it would be a 1-1 staking, he'd get his % of the winnings if/when he won.

I could be wrong and i could be too lazy to check, but i think DN laid 10:11, not 9:10.

So if DS won the 200k pool, and extra 10k goes on top. If he lost he would lose just the 100k.

Id be interested in a share for $100 - frankly as a low limit grinder i couldnt go higher.

The point is its risking 100 for win a further 110. If its truely a coinflip ill take that action.

I dont think it is a coinflip btw. If it were mixed, DN would definately take it down (im sure he has put months of effort into these challenges) but at the same time, if it were the one game that DS can choose, as the challenge stated, i think DS has an edge, even though a small one.

-----

With DS offering up 10K of his own cash, he would presumably get the if he won (this being what he expected as outlined in a thread today). The other shares - totalling 90% - would then get a cut of the further 189k, on a share per share basis.

If he lost, thats poker for ya.

For the record, i dont think this would happen, but yes, id invest in it if nothing more than having a chance for the challenge to go ahead.

I think DS could raise 1000 shares. It would pretty much be risking 100 to make 110 right? I think people would sign on just to be apart of the action...I know I would. It would also be complicated for DS to have the money trasfered to him and for him to actually transfer the money back if he won(thats the main reason why I dont think he would do this). I dont think DS would take this deal but if he did that would be VERY cool. It would kinda be like 2+2 playing against Dan N through DS. It would be pretty cool.

I dont think anyone on this forum really has the knowledge to be able to determine who is the favorite in a Stud8 headsup match but my guess would be that it would be just about even money, so when Dan N lays DS 11:10 on this bet I guess its a good deal. Im down for one share! Neat post.

Although I think coordinating all the money transfers would be a nightmare, I would be willing to buy a few shares if this ever comes about.

Im sure some easy method of depositing it to DS via neteller/CC etc could be set up via the website.

DN is one of the best HU players in the world. DS is not one of the best HU players in the world. Even With DS getting to pick his own game, this is, at best, only slightly profitable. That said, since DS gets to pick his own game, DS should be able to gain some profit, though I'd much rather back some specialist who's one of the best 3-4 players in the world at his/her game, who probably are 55/45, maybe more, against DN in these challenges.

What exactly are you basing this on?

If we could get DS to play for free, I'd put him up for a substantial amount in a bunch of matches. However, the problem is - what's in it for him? Nothing. He stands much more to lose than to gain IMO, especially if it is public knowledge that he is backed. If he takes a cut, it's no longer profitable for the backers.

I would love to see it happen, but I don't see how it could.

Default LMAO

All this has to be a joke. Everyone gathering to help the cause. If you want to give charity to a clown, organize something for the Ronald McDonald house where it might do some good.

DN played his last match for 500K? Why would he play for $10K? Why even make that offer? Its silly, we all understand that its alot of money for such a small edge. No need for all of these Wynn/Bellagio issues and nonsense counter offers.

Mason said in one of his posts he would be willing to stake someone with those odds...why not stake his buddy?
