Re: How did I play these Queens?
[ QUOTE ]
With no reads I'll raise this flop since the pot is getting big and call his 3-bet since we odds to draw to our 2 outs. [/ QUOTE ] There are 10.5 SB in the pot pf. after the bet, raise, 3 bet, there are 15.5 SB. The odds against hitting a set are 22:1. So, if you believe that you only have 2 outs, you would also have to believe that you can win another 6.5 SB from your opponent in order to have the implied odds to justify a call. I don't think you can count on that much action. |

Re: How did I play these Queens?
Good point. I can't really think of one, so calling down would be incorrect, right?
I'm still learning and I don't expect my answers to always be correct, so I appreciate the response. |

I probably fold the flop to the 3 bet. [/ QUOTE ] Booooo. 17.5:1. 2 Qs, backdoor straight draw. The only way a cap was good here is if you are determined to show down, know it will slow down villian, and check behind on the river, saving yourself 0.5SB when you're behind. I think that's still a crappy play though. Given that villian raised preflop, called a 3-bet and then bet into you I don't think you're in great shape. If anything I think your best play might be to call and re-evaluate on the turn. The pot is big, and it's already HU. EDIT: I miscounted the odds, but I'm leaving it up there. It's actually 16.5:1 which makes it a lot closer, and probably a fold. The rest of the post is fine. |

Re: How did I play these Queens?
grunching...
preflop pretty standard flop - his 3-bet makes me start worrying about the K... I'd probably just call that instead of capping turn - his check is interesting - did you just scare his AK/KQ/KJ/Kx and have him worried that you may have hit a set or two pair? i'd say probably... of course he may have just had something like jacks... regardless, his 3-bet on the flop makes me believe he hit the K, so I take the free card River - since he called the turn bet and I'm already worried he hit the K, i just take the free showdown |

Re: How did I play these Queens?
Call his 3 bet and fold the turn UI. I think he used a nice line. Everyone raises with QQ/JJ in that position giving him a perfect spot to 3 bet you with AK.
