Re: Worst Poker Announcer
I like how Konik's name is in the list twice.
Then, again, he's bad enough that he probably deserves to be on the list twice. |

Re: Worst Poker Announcer
You've no idea how bad poker commentary can get until you've watched the EPT coverage.

Re: Worst Poker Announcer
[ QUOTE ]
Isn't it ironic to post a poll about the worst - but leave out a guy many feel is the worst? I understand you don't think he is the worst, but it really does take away from our choices. You should retitle the poll - Worst poker announcer from my personal list of bad announcers. [/ QUOTE ] That's not ironic at all. Choosing from the pollers list is what a poll is. You don't make a poll to see everybodys opinion on everything, just the items you see fit.. otherwise I'd have to poll everybody on what items to put on the poll. Them being my selections is a given. [ QUOTE ] I like how Konik's name is in the list twice. Then, again, he's bad enough that he probably deserves to be on the list twice. [/ QUOTE ] That was intentional, lol. |

Re: Worst Poker Announcer
Actually there hasn't been a real good one yet on TV. I mean
a "John Madden" type who will strongly criticize bad play and strongly praise good imaginative play. |

Re: Worst Poker Announcer
I personally think Norman Chad is hilarious. Plus, I think his style is more suited for what ESPN was trying to do with the WSOP all along. Create a nice-looking package (as opposed to the WPT) that appeals to the age group they target, not necessarily all serious poker players.
I don't watch football but I assume John Madden is more of an analyst. It wouldn't hurt to pair him with such a commentator, such as they use ex-NBA players during NBA telecasts, but that alone makes for some boring television. |

Norman Chad or Tom Lykis\Kennedy from Battle of the Sexes are the worst of the worst, methinks.

Still better than listening to Norman Chad's borderline insulting commentary. NO CHAD NO PEACE NO CHAD NO PEACE.

Re: Worst Poker Announcer
Norman Chad. He is pathetic. Comparing him to Madden (whoever did) is ridiculous.
Chad is self-centered and makes competely inane remarks. He lacks any understanding of what he is doing and comes off as a complete cheese-dick. He is the only one I will consistently mute. It is absurd he still has a job. When there are people like Mike G walking around. |
