fantastic! there are fish even on those levels!

Damn. I'm considering hitting these babies, but frankly after this post here, I have a suspicion that the tables are going to be dripping with 2+2 TAG grimness!

OK never mind--turns out I was just another one of the fish.
Apparently I become just another unthinking LAG as well. Or my favorite quote from Arkady above a "Lagorifically Donktastic individual."

Just dropped 50BB there playing the same terrible guy I was owning all last night. Succeeded in busting him and i was still down $500. However, the play that beats him doens't work so hot against real players. The good players there are just really good. Last night I ran well which somewhat offsets tonight so I'm gonna just be grateful it only cost me a G to learn that I'm nowhere near ready for 30/60 SH.

If I post any more 30/60 hands please give me a stern talking to.

You will probably see me roaming the 30/60 short handed games on Party now -- I have been periodically since the changes.

I think the shorthanded tables are significantly harder than I first thought. There are a TON of SLAG/TAG regulars. I will probably stay at 10/20 until I have 1000BB or so to play 30/60 with. Since my winrate is lower in the 30/60, combined with obviously the 3x higher stakes, these games are just too high variance for me to play in right now.

-Mike

Plus if schneids is frequenting them, I don't want to be donating to him =(

I'm pleased to see that SLAG appears to be accepted nomenclature. You must remember though, it needs to be pronounced in London Cockney to be really meaningful, as in "You Slaayg".

I think the new 30 games will be a LOT closer to the old 15 games than the old 30 games. you'll get less people from 5/10 that won a lot though, and the awful players will bust quicker. I'm not sure this was a smart business decision for Party

[/ QUOTE ]

I really wish they would have delayed this until I had some more 15/30 experience. This change will probably be good for me in the long run even if it weakens the 15/30 games in the short run.

This is the same guy I mentioned earlier who was 62/36 and goes to showdown over half the time. He autobets every flop.

Well, I don't normally play this limit...but

Against this guy it would be. This guy was 63/36 over 200 hands and went to showdown 52% of the time.

Suited weak aces are big trouble Shorthanded. They look stronger than they play.

Other than the rare flush you have two scenerios.

1. You catch an Ace and your hand sucks
2. You don't catch an Ace and your hand sucks.

Plus, it's hard to let go of this hand.

I'm especially worried about loose players, as they are more likely to have you beat with a weak Ace that may be stronger than yours. I don't like the 3 bet here.

Perhaps a cold-call (god forbid) is in order.
