Where to go $52 BR/Interpoker Q's/Beginner Querys

Junk - Ive not spent $200 on books, i got ITH as a present, This is the only book ive read so far.

Soon to read Hold Em Advaned Poker by Slanksy.

I hear SSH is good, But not sure what it will teach besides what ITH has already covered and 2+2 Forums?

Greg - I read your thread, and it seems im going to have to work my BR up to $200 then start "bonus whoring". Guess ill keep working on my game untill that mark, Hopefully get to $100 by end of month - But ill see how it goes.

Anything else anyone recommend?

Sorry, but this is not good advise. The risk of ruin is too high and this precludes you from taking advantage of the $100 bonus later on.

Risk of ruin too high at Party micro-limits? I've played mostly .50/1 and found it to be cake. Also, there are several Party skins with the $100 bonus. I suggest this instead of Paradise because with Paradise, you get a $100 bonus for a $200 deposit, whereas with the Party skins you need a $500 deposit. By using a party skin micro-limits to build up, he can take advantage of the Paradise bonus much earlier.

It *is* cake. But playing with a $50 bankroll at .50/1 is foolish. A very good player could probably do it with $100. Someone just starting out should not even think about it. The RoR is huge.

Yes. WAY too high with 50bbs. A 50bb swing one way or the other is commonplace. Just because the game is easy doe not mean you can't run poorly.

Okay, but the smart bonus whore takes advantage of every bonus he can. The fact is that you are forgoing bonus money here. You don't refuse to pick up one $100 bill off the ground becuase there are four others just a few feet away. You pick them all up.

Assuming he doesn't go bust playing with a 50bb bankroll -- a very real possibility.

I might consider 365 poker -- it's a prima skin and $50 gets you a $50 bonus. I have not played there and know nothing about it, but they do have .25/.5 games you can clear the bonus at. The risk of ruin with 100bbs is greater than nominal though, so I'm still not sure you would risk that.

One thing you might consider is a little casino whoring. Look in the classifieds for Metereon's site and play a few hands of blackjack. I think even then you need $100 to start.

I apologize. Even though the lowest I've played on Party is .50/1, I thought they had lower limits. Of course, now that I really think about it...

Ok, they're absolutely right. Wait for Party. I'd have to agree with going to Stars, and doing the Paradise Bonus as soon as you have the BR for it. And try out the Royal Vegas, too.

Hi guys,

COnfused now as to where i should go to and when?

Can one of you list the sites in order (Along with Minimum 300BB BankRoll required) - I CANNOT RISK going bankcrupt.

Currently comfortable with UkPoker - Know most opponants and make few dollars a day, Hoping to reach $100 by end of the month but it will take some hard work, See how close i get.

My BR currently stands at $61 Today.

Pokerstars offer a bonus, Shouldnt i be wanting to take full advantage of this or is it not worth the long wait?

One side of me says plug away at Ukpoker to get up to $100-$150. It looks pretty (Poker stars visuals are UGLY!),
I know my opponants,
It has one .10/.20 (But hardly ever active).

However the other side of me says i need to go to Pokerstars as the hand historys will mean i can post in the micro forums and learn and improve my game 1000x.

I still feel very "Newbie". I think a robot could play the same as me.

I follow starting hands(Chart- But basically know it off my heart).
If i hit my cards or have the odds to continue (to improve to what i believe in the nuts) ill check/Call/bet.
If i hit the nuts ill check/raise, Bet to get most money in pot etc.

I mean i try read opponants(Alot of the time im correct) but still feel like im missing alot, It cant be this "easy".

Started reading HEFAP(Slanky etc) some great ideas in this book, But dont think it will come into use at these micros. Players dont seem to pay attention or try read opponants from what ive seen so far at my site.

I.e. Going to showdown after raising preflop with suited connectors to make players lose respect for your raises in tight games etc
