There are some times when you might consider folding AA preflop.

Those would be, when you think the game is crooked and you are being set up.

there is also another time when you'd fold AA in a ten handed game

when the guy who moves in holds 56 spades (you have no spade)

two people show A9, the nines being of the suit of your aces
three people show KQ suited, not spades, and fold
three people show JT suited, not spades, and fold

Oh hey, I had that happen once.

Don't fold Aces preflop. Don't fold Aces preflop in a tournament, barring an extremely rare satellite tourney situation where the planets are in line and a lunar eclipse is halfway through that can be detailed in the general hold'em forum, since they go over it at least once a month. It will probably never happen, so just don't fold them.

I'm not exactly the most accomplished player, but I'll add my two cents. Take it for what it's worth.

As with any game, you must evaluate your opponents' skill level, as well as their level of fortitude. And, as with any poker hand, your preflop play should depend on your position in relation to the button. I'd probably strongly consider folding AA preflop if I was in an early position in a wild game and several (4+) players begin raising the BB after my initial call (I'd only call with AA preflop in these types of games when I'm in early position).

In conclusion, you can never take the cards for what they are. You must assess your opponents, your position, your bankroll, and your own feelings about gambling all of your chips preflop, which many are not comfortable with.

I havent read this thread at all, but this post is kind of funny because I some guy do this. I was in the 20 game at the Stone and I there was this huge commotion at the no limit game because some guy moved all in before the flop and the last one to act mucked aces face up. That had to be the stupidest thing I have ever seen when it comes to poker.
