But you are not one right? Look at all these ridiculous posts. And namecalling. If you are not one, then there is no such thing.

But they have won major tournaments. What have you done to prove you are a good player? Why are you so good? Have you won any major tournaments?

Major tournaments are totally different than live limit games.

Yes, I understand that they are different. My point is good players are successful in both.

But i'm ultra conservative.

I don't believe anyone who is too conservative by nature can push the small edges required to really be a top level poker player.

well maybe that is why i can push those small edges because i'm playing at limits where i dont have to worry about bankroll. i said i was ultra conservative in limits i play. not how i play my hands. If you were a good player you would see the difference.

As the other poster has said tournaments are totally different. And i dont play big tournaments because i am not rich and as i said before i am conservative and dont want to risk money entering big tournaments. But if they came down and played 15-30 with me i would not think i was outmatched my any means.

do you consider people like david sklansky and roy cooke not players that could hold there own agians those guys in limit holdem if they played lower? they are conservative in moving up also. that does not mean they are not excellent players. Do you see that? If so then you see my point.

i won flame simply because I pitty you. Your game can't be that good if you don't even realize how many of those players (probably all of them) can have a big edge over you and your buddies and why you would be a total fish in that game.

BTW, you have absolutly no way of telling who out of those guys is world class and who isn't, don't bring out any names. Most of those players you only know from what you see in television and even that is very very little to base an opinion on, the most you could do is base an opinion on their results but that can also be very unfair. You can safely assume someone like DN and Gus Hansen are very good NL holdem tournament players but you can't for sure say how they are compared to another specific player.
