Re: Is PlayerView worth $50?
[ QUOTE ]
Ok, so they're charging now, which is fine. [/ QUOTE ] sign up a gnome account with the affiliate listed on the playerview page, get a $100 bonus at party and PV for free, and never play there again. that seems fine w/ me |

Re: Is PlayerView worth $50?
$50 is way too much for PV. PT is a bargain at the same price. If you look at what both do, you'll see that the fact that they cost the same amount is laughable. I think it's also important to point out that most of the players who are going to use PV are lower limit players, and now we're talking about them spending 100BB simply on poker software, which I don't think they will do.
Of course, Amir put in a lot of work, and deserves to be compensated for it. I'm just afraid he's overestimating his earn potential. I'd say $25-$30 is a fair price. Anything below that is selling Amir short for the work he's put in. |

Re: Is PlayerView worth $50?
I knew this would happen with all the version expiration messages PV has. I guess it's kind of good he's charging that much because now less people will use PV. Does anyone know how keep using the program after it "expires"?

Re: Is PlayerView worth $50?
[ QUOTE ]
The problem is that I have the option set to "not include my own stats". That doesn't work if you add a tracker using someone else's name because it then assumes that he is the guy whose stats shouldn't be shown. Ugh. [/ QUOTE ] Ahh, i don't use that option, since i like to see my stats for the current session. I guess you could add tracker and be able to see the table (- that guy) and then remove the tracker and add it again under your name once you have a few hands at the table. Still, it does sound like PV is a more polished product but i'm not sure if that is worth $55 to me. |

Re: Is PlayerView worth $50?
Another benefit of PV vs GT:
I keep my PT database on my desktop. Right now I'm playing on my laptop in my living room. With PV I can just copy over my PT files and point the client to their location. Then later I can just import the hands into my PT database on my desktop. With GT I have to be importing hands on my laptop. It's possible to get this working, but it'll be a pain in the butt to keep both database instances synchronized. That being said, I do think $50 is a little too much. |

Re: Is PlayerView worth $50?
Good grief. If it makes you money, it's worth more than $50. If it doesn't make you money, it's worth less than 50 cents. That's the only question that matters.

No, learn to play without it, and stop relying so heavily on software.

Re: Is PlayerView worth $50?
Echoing on what I said in micro-limits about this
"No it isn't. Playerview is nothing without pokertracker. That's like saying, hey, buy our PS2 for 150 but guess what all our games cost $150 also. How many people do you think would buy the PS2/Games?? Playerview should cost at most $15 (or at least let it be bundled with pokertracker). " |

Re: Is PlayerView worth $50?
oh come on, it's worth 50 easy. If it saves me 2 big bets at 15/30 it's worth it, and of course it's saved me way more then that
