http://www.pokerpages.com/blog/index.php?itemid=168 I don't hate anyone. I am never pleased when this guy wins because I think he is bad for the game. He abuses players and dealers, which sets bad examples for all these young players who want to be like him. He has great talent and I respect him for his poker ability. But that being said, I hope he does not win whenever he plays. His constant crying and whining make me sick. He berates player when he should be thankful when they call with inferior hands. Perhaps losing will create a sense of humilty in him. |

Live would suck, it would take way way way too long, and the HUPC was over 3 days so that is totally absurd, besides the fact that the matches were going on at the same time.
I think the first 2 shows could have been 2 hours so we'd see action from every table, but it is what it is... for mass consumption, not us obsessed poker players. Even the average WPT episode is 5+ hours of filming, there is no way it would be live and maintain an audience, it's far too boring in LONG doses. On the other topic: Phil adds drama and is obviously a hopeless headcase and bad actor. Somehow he has successful series of books/DVDs and even a poker camp, go figure! As usual, it pays to be naughty! >TW< |

look for a big hand when its phil vs jesus...jesus draws out against hellmuth in game 2 of the best of 3...hellmuth was a clear favorite to win after all the chips were in and jesus drew out on him. apparantly hellmuth falls out of his chair and stuff. hellmuth is the best player, i love him!

I wish there was a rule that all events were televised "Live". You may never see that in your life. The networks want to show crazy bluffs, all in bets, and one in a trillion suckouts. [/ QUOTE ] Well...we're not going to see them ALL live obviously. But the Turning Stone final-table last year was shown live. Not sure if you meant that no event would EVER be shown live...but if you did then you are wrong. |

Then lost to Scott Fischman in the third round. |

I'm guessing the ratings sucked or something, because I'd love to see more live games. (Live at the Bike is OK, though) |
