Could I REALLY put CO on JJ any earlier than the turn cap? Would his flop cold-call 2/cap been a good indicator of JJ?

[/ QUOTE ]

That's a nuance that I missed the first time through. If a tight-passive player limp-raises the flop, it's pretty likely that he's not on the come. Anyway, it sucks that you were already behind, but that's just poker. Keep pumping those sets and you'll make lots of money.

Default Thanks, all!

I posted this hand more for when I am playing higher limits (3/6 and up), rather than for .50/1. I wanted to know if this would have been a good slowdown (or laydown) at a higher limit, but at .50/1, there is little question I'm putting in four bets on the turn, and probably two more on the river if a rag hit.

Default Re: Middle Set And The Cap-Fest...Where Do I Slow Down?

That call-cap by CO almost certainly is a flush draw. I 3-bet this turn. He could have JJ, I guess, but I don't think he would slowplay it with a flush draw on the board and a large number of opponents.
