Without a read, YES!

Also consider that you can often find a river fold if a crub hits.

given the action, i'd be inclined to fold without a read that says this guy is an aggro nutbag.

Recreational players (given that Bob has no read and I know he runs PT +PV it's a pretty good guess) run funny lines often enough that I see no compelling reason to fold here. I just don't fold good hands in somewhat big pots for a single bet without a read, especially on draw heavy boards.

I think without reads I call the three bet and fold to a turn bet if I don't improve. But everyone calls me weak/tight

That's cuz that is what your line is, IMO. But I tend to suck.

My point of view is that I would rather miss one or two bets and win and find out my opponent is overplaying his hand, than lose the maximum because I didn't give him enough credit for having what he is representing.

Wait, that means I call down... forget my previous statement. I call down

I'm always a little more careful with a J and a T are on the board together, because so many barns play JTo and JTs from any position. I would call the flop 3-bet and either call down or fold UI on the turn.

I put him on either trips, or two pair.

[/ QUOTE ]

He can't have trips; there's no pair on the board. I'd put him on a set, maybe.

When UTG+1 doesn't let the flop cap slow him down, I think you most likely have 0-3 outs.

Against an unknown, I would prefer to see a showdown less expensively and would probably start calling down after the flop 3-bet.

This line only saves 1 SB, but your chances of being ahead when UTG+1 leads the turn are better if he's not doing so in response to a flop cap by you.

The flop cap starts looking more attractive to me if you don't feel committed to a showdown.

I folded. I gave the guy JT or at least 2-pair. Had we been HU, I think I call him down, but the other guy was drawing IMO, which filthified one of my A outs and counterfeit outs. Needless to say, the A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] hit the river, UTG+1 bets, MP3 folds. I suck.
