Re: Another full house scenario
I was going to say that you should slow down and that you played this alright by smooth calling the flop, but I changed my mind. I don't really care about the two aces coming up, that doesn't ever happen really. As it has been stated, the monsters play themselves. What concerns me is that you seem more upset about losing the hand than you do about possibly missing some bets (not to say you missed bets, but you are clearly results oriented).
When you flop a boat of Kings, you will probably lose more money in the long run getting cute than you will by running into running board aces. |

Re: Another full house scenario
FPS all over this play.
1. bet flop, anyone wo hand is likely to check behind you. 2. ok..you checked and got bet into. RAISE him! he thinks he has hand..maybe A8? 8x?..right now you have nuts..if he's bluffing you'll find out when you LEAD the turn. 3. Lead the turn. only AA beats you..if he raises id 3 bet and call a cap 4. River..horrible card...A8 now beats you..any ace now beats you. i'd probably bet, but call a raise.. IMO check is Ok here too but betting is better in case he's got a lower pair like TT or something and thinks you're bluffing. ok..so lets summarize a 'typical way to play this raise PF. bet and raise flop bet and raise turn. caution of river cause of very rare runner runner. Normally you'd jam this too. Have fun! Brian |
