But really, when has he won? [/ QUOTE ] Besides the WSOP main event 1999, 3 other breacelets the next three years, and a $10K tournament win for $600K+ this past February? Never, really. He does have quite the resume: http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/play..._Ferguson.html Agreed to some extent about the looks though. |

Chris gets a lot of air time and pub because of his degrees, championships, and smarts -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is wrong, he gets his air time because he could fling cards at 90 mph and slice bannanas in half. That and his long haired 'JC looks/nickname'. But really, when has he won? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, Ferguson sucks. |

Well, so far, this is about the best response I've seen. It's kinda interesting that most people don't have an answer. I guess that can be attributed to the randomness of the game not allowing us to extrapolate an answer. Maybe it is just a down cycle for Chris and a random up for Tuan? If so, then maybe the other thread calling Tuan the luckiest mofo alive is right, but I think our pro Temp Hutter would disagree with that statement. I wonder what Raymer would think? Are random cycles actually called luck?

Loose, aggressive style results in higher variance. At the moment Le is reaping the rewards of that approach which are substantial in today's world of tournament poker.
Like Dan N., G. Hansen, C. Mortenson and many others on the tournament circuit these days, he will likely be found contesting the final table or out of action early on as the high variance leads to as many spectacular bust outs as it does winners. That 7 he spiked yesterday when drawing to an inside straight will fail to materialize 80% of the time in the long run. But hey, at 2.8 million, I doubt if he is concerned. Congratulations and more power to him on what I hear is likely to be the most exciting FT yet filmed on the WPT. |
