I don't mind the turn check. Villian has you crushed with AA-KK, AK (I don't think he'd check-raise AQ here).. I'm also not sure he's calling 2 bets with QQ-JJ with 2 overcards. You also have to worry about UTG1 who would love to trap 2 people for 2 BB with AT, A8 etc. I think people are being results oriented by saying to bet the turn since villian folded the river. The river is a close value bet, but I make it.

Well, if he is solid he will likely fold JJ or QQ when the A comes on the turn and you bet again (if he knows that you are solid!) and he might reraise with an A (or a straight draw semibluff!!!) and you would have to fold or an uncomfortable call. I like the check to induce a bluff from those hands on the river. If he is behind he is drawing slim and you can afford giving a free card. I would worry more about UTG+1 though since he could be on a flush or straight draw.

SB's calling 1 bet on the flop as he lead it, and if he has JJ or QQ there's only 1 OC on the flop for him. Where do you get the idea UTG+1 has specifically AT or A8? It's a large pot so you have a margin for error, even if he check raises you quite a bit in this situation, I think it's worse to let him have a free card when he's behind.

Also there were no reads about anyone being tricky, and villain shouldn't slowplay a hand that beats you here as he doesn't have good relative position to you to get the most bets in.

Do you think 'not letting people get a free card' outweighs the possibility of putting dead bets into this pot?

In a pot this size, yes.
