Because not all observer chat is spam. The solution is to limit observer chat to funded real money accounts only. If you spam they block your account. How many people do you think AceFlop.spam will fund accounts for before he gets tired of it?

The negatives of observer chat far outweigh the positives. Even if you ban the spammers, you don't eliminate the morons who harass bad players.

One player I played against today blew thousands of dollars before leaving the table under an onslaught of jeers and taunts.
