Skill-wise, the 6/12 at Borgata plays a lot like 1/2 on Pary... sometimes 2/4. [/ QUOTE ] There's a big difference between Party 1/2 and .5/1. Beating .5/1 for 3BB/100 just means your ready to start dabbling in 1/2 I think. Getting into a 6/12 game that requires Party 1/2 skills for someone with only Party .5/1 experience sounds like a good way to burn through your roll superfast. |

Having played well in excess of 15K hands at each of the levels you mention, I don't think there's a large distinction. The 1/2 is just stocked with a few more weak-conservative types who don't want the volatility of .50/1, but aren't willing to take the jump to 2/4. That doesn't mean the game is tougher to beat, you've just got to go about beating it in a ever so slightly different manner. At any rate, the play in Borgata 6/12 is predictable enough to make it profitable for most any limit player competent in execution of A-B-C poker and hand reading. |
