I have been doing my part in keeping the 5/10 6-max games good. Find me at the tables, I suck.

I finally have got a decent amount of datamining on the players at 5/10 and needless to say I'm shocked at how loose these players are. I can see how this game is profitable for good players.

I am prepared to believe that the games are not as good as once they were. Apparently I missed out on the golden age of online poker a year to 18 months ago when I was playing no-limit on Stars.

Nevertheless the games are very very soft. I know this because I win in them, and I basically suck.

Has it all turned around finally for you Guy?! I remember that nasty streak you went through -- congrats!

I welcome tight multitablers in my games. They're especially easy to read and they usually get false reads about me(I come off as a LAG).

Just made it to the 5/10 SH games, so I've got no idea what they were like. I suck (see previous PT post for proof) and I'm taking 1.5BB/100 off the tables. This suggests the games are still pretty soft.

When i was playing the 5-10 6 max, which i was up until 2 months ago, the play was pretty poor overall.

I agree.

The change I've observed has happened in those last two months. Many of the new, better players weren't even in my database.

I donīt think anything substantial happens in 2 months, so my guess is you are running bad and attributing it to better play by others. Although I donīt play the 5/10 since 4 months so canīt really say more than that it sounds unlikely. All those fish donīt go broke THAT fast.

Best thing said in this thread. Like there were 25 really skilled players not playing - only learning TOP by heart - and then suddenly they all jumped into 5/10 and multitabled and killed it all. Yeah, sure.

If games are getting tougher it is slowly as long as not something abnormal happens, like 10/20SH is closed down.

FWIW,

The 5/10 game is currently noticably more difficult than it was 6 months ago. And, if you thought the games 6 months ago were a cakewalk you really should have seen them 12-18 months ago.

Regardless, for any "capable" player the game is fairly easy to beat for at least 1 bb/100.
