Re: Pair higher than middle pair hands oop
[ QUOTE ]
I kinda doubt that you'd be posting this hand if you were not shown the queen, but don't let the results fool you. [/ QUOTE ] Actually, I just see this situation come up a lot and picked the first hand out of PT that sort of matched the situation. I'm not sure if I got shown the Q or not. However, I am a bit upset at the specific hand that I picked, because I have a straight draw on the turn. My Q has more to do with what happens on certain boards when the only hands that call have you beaten, like JJ on an 88K rainbow flop or something, but I'm stuck with the hand I posted. Re: Pair higher than middle pair hands oop
I don't think K88 is all that bad of a flop for JJ. There are fewer ways it could have hit your opponents, but LPP's will still call the flop with just about anything. Bet it, but be prepared to duck out fast if someone tells you that you are beaten.
Also, good for you for not necessarily posting a hand you lost . |

Re: Pair higher than middle pair hands oop
*G post.
Any reads? I would play this hand the same way. Usually in this situation I'll see a weak Q that shouldn't be in the hand anyway. Nice hand. Ben |

Re: Pair higher than middle pair hands oop
Any reads? If they're your typical loose/passive/bad players they could be calling down with anything. Flop and turn look good. On the river, not very sure you can value bet this.
If you check and MP1 bets and the other guy calls, you have a decision to make. If MP1 bets and the other guy folds, you only have to be good 9.5% of the time, so you can probably call. Edit: Yeah, I know I'm the only one doubting a river bet. I gotta stop pussying out in these situations. |
