IDK if it works at foxwoods, but I just take good care of my dealers at TS

[/ QUOTE ]

The only problem with Foxwoods is that they screw their dealers in many ways including pooling tips with the rest of the casino. That 11 bucks an hour is garbage compared to how much they could make in a well run card room. The Woods just treats poker like regular table games and they can because they are basically the only (legal) game in town. Next is 4 hour to AC or the Stone in NY.

I heard this renovation "rumor" as well the last time I was there but didn't even bother to track it down because I'd heard this one so many times before.

The last time I heard it they stopped the process because Mohegan was putting the poker room up for a tribal council vote - that was six months ago and the only renovation has been the big screen board - overrated.

It's the responsibility of the dealer to deal the game NOT fill the game. The dealer may or may not call to the floor about the empty seat. If the dealer does this it is a courtesy.

You may not be completely familiar with the size of the cardroom at Foxwoods. It is second only to the Commerce in size and number of tables. It would be very difficult for the floor to keep all games full at all times without the assistance of the dealers calling out open seats, especially when they are short staffed because there are 500+ more players playing in a tournament at the complete opposite end of the resort.

Maybe we can agree that it is the responsibility of the card room staff to keep a game full for all its players. Under this definition, dealers hold some responsibility.

Should be better when the new 120 table room opens up, I hear in May.

[/ QUOTE ]

Please go on about the "new room". I haven't heard one word about this, and I haven't seen any posts about it here.

Where will it be located, etc., etc.

I heard it was going to move downstairs, back to where it was "originally", which I haven't been playing long enough to remember.

They said 120 tables. This was talk among 4-5 people at one of my tables.

Sounds like they'll need a bunch more delears...

Thats awesome.

I'd imagine they're gonna move all those slots upstairs then. With the Bistro there too, the food at the tables should be fair as well.

Now if those clowns down the street would just re-open.....

That's what I've noticed about poker rooms - they such an inefficeint operation with all the screaming and yelling by the brush and dealers. the funny thing is that it costs the poker room money when seats go unfilled when there is a waiting list. You could probably install some kind of walkie-talkie or intercom system from Radio Shack that would pay for itself ina couple months.
