Re: curious about ed miller gospel
hi,
The old hands have given great answers to your questions. This is not necessarily the answer to your question, but I'll try to add something different form a newbie's perspective. In addition to the advice, SSH has practical benefits. Reading the posts on this forum can be very difficult and slow for first-timers and/or those who are new to the game (e.g., me). Reading the hand histories alone can be difficult. The barrage of jargon and acronyms can make getting up to speed a task in itself. SSH helps the new player get up to speed much faster. Because SSH principles are *generally* accepted within this forum, reading SSH does well in providing the background needed to understand and to speak the language that is common to this forum. Some posts refer to page #s and SSH concepts without elaboration. So, in addition to the credible advice, you get a common resource that helps in learning the language and ideas that are commonly *debated* in this forum. However, as noted by others, SSH is not the only source for this information (e.g., experience and other texts). |

Re: curious about ed miller gospel
Ed posted for a long time back before I was around under the handle 'majorkong' and his advice was always money. then he changed to Ed Miller, but his advice was still the same awesome advice as before. after a ton of super helpful original content posts, everyone just kinda assumes he knows what he's talking about. they're usually right.
