I was at Foxwoods this weekend and liked just about everything in their poker room. The problems you describe are caused because they simply don't have enough tables to satisfy the demand. So, they've got long waiting lists and make adjustments to the tournaments to keep the majority of players happy.

As far as food prices go, I thought I got very good value considering everybody is a trapped consumer when they go to Foxwoods. And, I'm rather cheap about that stuff.

The Fox is pretty darn good if you like having your pick of GOOD games. The rest is details. Their room is under tremendous pressure since the poker boom and the closing of Mohegan's room have sent a flood of players their way.

YOu forgot the part about some of the easiest stud and hold em games on the east coast.

Their management does suck though.

Yeah, I'm consitently amazed by the softness of the 5/10 kill game. It's way better than the Borgata 6/12, based on my limited play at the Borg.

I've just recently started playing the stud games there.

I suck at stud. I expected to run into a rock garden and basically see my money anted away over the hours.

Instead, I find a bunch of people, mostly old people, who suck worse than I do. Lots of them will bet/raise at any pot, no matter how little they're holding.

It really is amazing.

I think AC is better for 20-40 (at least Fox 20-40 wasn't nearly as good as Taj 20 the last time I was there).

Cellphones? Ick, I friggin hate cell phones. People with cell phones annoy the [censored] out of me. Especially at the friggin table in the middle of a tournament. Grrrrr!

I hate the waits even during the week if you are not there by 10am and no seats you have to wait till 12noon and the same from 12 till 2pm b/c they have dealers coming in at those hours from what other players and the lady who runs the list told me. I like Foxwoods for one reason I can drive less than 90 mins take the 8am ferry and be at Fox by 945 and get a fast seat. I hate the drive to AC too long too many tolls and traffic on the Belt Pkwy is horrible I always get killed in traffic on the way home no matter what time I come back. So IMO they both suck.
