They are ceramic but do not feel like chipcos, they feel like NJ Ceramic Chips =)

The edge spots are printed on the sides like Chipcos are, however the face is not smooth, it is textured.

unless you are using them 24 hours a day like a real casino there is no way they will wear anywhere near as fast

I honestly wouldn't compare them to Chipcos at all. While they share the "Ceramic" category, that is about where they stop being similar.

I don't like Chipcos, but I like the NJ Desert Sands chips a lot.

I just got a set of the Desert Sands and I think they are great. They don't feel slick at all. In fact, the surface feels a little bit like sandpaper. They look, feel, and sound great. For the price you really can't do better. Take advantage of the sale and go for them.

i'd say they are exactly the same, excepting the texture. they are way more the same than they are different.

Should be sufficient for a variety of tourney types and sizes....

My basic ground was $40 (to memphis,TN)... it was an addtional 25 or so for 2nd day. Not that big a deal....3 day was available for another 15 or so

I also picked up a few racks and a new cut cards since my old one has dissapeared [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
