5: Fold PF. THis is not blind defense. I wouldn't cap the river.

SSHE mentions that one should call same hands from BB that he would call from late position for one bet.. Q9s counts in these hands

[/ QUOTE ]

If this pot were multi-way, the call would be fine. If this were a CO or button raise, this call would be fine. However, this is a UTG+1 raise and the suitedness of this hand matters very little HU and u can never be sure how good ur pair outs will be.

But after 4k+ hands I can honestly say that it is NOT.

[. . .]

Now my BB/100 was -1.67.

Just an echo to poster SampleTOOSMALL:

You are down approximately 67 BBs. That is one bad session. You cannot determine on these results if you suck or are the greatest player ever.

But reviewing your play, regardless of your results, is very worthwhile.

But after 4k+ hands I can honestly say that it is NOT. Tables are tight (vpip 20-30 more likely 20), players seem to bluff just the right amount.

I'd say "You're joking, right?", but presumably you're not. I play 2/4 a lot. I use Poker Edge and at least 1/2 the 2/4 tables are 6-7 VPIP > 30 and a couple VPIP ~25. Incredibly loose. 3/6 is much tigher, especially post-flop.

Better table selection I guess is my only suggestion, regardless of the tool you use. I can typically find 3 loose tables within about 10 minutes.

It's regular to find 2/4 tables that are 30-40 VPIP%.

Last night in 3/6, three out of the four tables I was playing were ~35% table VPIP. I moved off the fourth and found a better table. This tight-playing party fish thing is urban legend.

Hand 6: Call his raise. Unless he is a very passive player, he won't always be ahead.

[/ QUOTE ]
On what street are you telling him to call a raise? The only two streets where he faced a raise are the flop and the river. So you're either telling him not to three-bet the flop with what is very likely the best hand, or you're telling him to call two cold on the river when the flopped flush draw gets there and he can't even beat top pair. From the comment about the opponent not always being ahead, I assume you mean the river. I think that calling two cold on this river would be awful.

Hand 2: Against all non-LAGs, I would fold the flop for a single bet. What normal PF capping hands do u beat here? The c/r is chip spewage.

[/ QUOTE ]
I don't like the check-raise either, but how is it relevant that he can't beat a PF capping hand given that at the time he faces the first flop bet the pf capper has already folded?
