They may look cool but they are VERY light (closer to 8 grams than 9) and feel plasticky. I personally recommend the 13.5g suited & double-suited (http://www.pokernstuff.com/index.asp...amp;ProdID=218) for their feel because I've never felt a Nexgen. However, the colors are inconsistent between batches, i.e. sometimes the green is a dark "forest" green and sometimes it is a "teal/lime" green.

EDIT: Didn't see that you wanted labels... the 13.5s aren't recessed so labels isn't advisable. Best to stick with the NexGens I think.

i didn't know the nexgens were so cheap...but i also really like the look of these 9G ones. nobody has sampled them aside from annorax? i might have to. can the label printers on this board (lynback and cinose3 or however it's spelled with numbers) make labels with different sizes?

I own a set of 500, they are light, but they sound and feel good to me. Only real problem is that they are a little slippery and can slide around. Other than that, I like them, and they serve their purpose.

I have the 9G blanks of which you speak. I preferred them over the nexgens which I sampled as well. Yes, they are lighter, and the nexgens are a bit cheaper, but I couldn't stand to have 'LAS VEGAS' printed around my chip. I also just didn't like the texture/feel of the nexgen. I actually REALLY liked the 9G blanks the more I played with them. I bought 1000 of them from pokernstuff.com and labeled them up.

AFTER I labeled them (this has also been discussed in other threads) I applied Krylon Preserve-it to the chips. This added some texture while at the same time preserving the label (I used weatherproof laser labels from onlinelabels.com) The chips stack just fine IMO. Slightly annoying however was that the recessed area for label application seems a hair smaller than 1". Most of my labels actually ride up the lip a bit. Not enough to effect stacking/shuffling, but enough to frustrate you while you're applying...

Word of advice however. My samples from pokernstuff.com had the red chips with a real 'maroon' colored red, which I really liked (shown in the mockup below.) The chips I received were more 'rust' colored which annoyed me quite a bit, and I actually had to redo my label design to match better (luckily I hadn't printed any yet because I needed to color match the other chips..) Also, these chips sell fast it seems because they were out of reds for quite a while, and even when I made my order I was backordered 50 reds. I've seen the chips for sale at pokerchipmart.com as well, so you may want to check there also.

Note the purple I had to actually buy the 'vegas' style and remove the stock labels. I'm perhaps the only person with custom purple 9G blanks (is that a good thing?)

Yup, that's common among the 9g Vegas chips and the 13.5g stripe suited/double suited chips. The reds and greens are hardly ever the same in between batches. So if you want them to match... order them all in 1 batch!

But hands down they are the best chips ive handled for the price. The RPT nexgens are really nice too, but are much more expensive. You can pick up 500 of the 10g faux clay dice chips for $30..like $40 for the set with the case and such.

i agree completely...just got my samples of these. I can't believe that these chips are so cheap! i mean they are very ordinary-looking, but they feel great, nice weight, nice texture, and they even sound more like a clay chip than many other cheapies...

Let me begin this post by saying that I must have absolutely positively no life. With that disclaimer out of the way I will be begin. I ordered my set of 9gram vegas chips off of ebay about a year ago. I ended up with 1325 chips due to an error in the ordering process. The feel of this chips is great. I love the way they sound, the way they shuffle with the rounded corners and yes I have broken a chip on purpose just to see if they are all "clay(and the answer to that question is yes)." I would agree with the poster who said these are a cheap version of bj chips. Yes they are very light, but I have gotten used to that and now playing with regular chips makes my fingers feel like they are at the gym or something as I sit there for hours on end shuffling chips(over/unders on carpel tunnel) The only thing that I didn't like about my chips is the hideous picture of the hot rod on the label. I put up with it for about a year and finally decided that was it, I needed to design a chip label for me chips. After coming up with the ideal chip label, with some help from these very forums, I was forced with the reality that I must now remove two labels from each of my 1325 chips. About 8 hours later and three somewhat small, but still painful cuts from my trusty pocketknife they were all off. The 1" round labels from onlinelabels.com worked perfect and I have a bunch left over if you want some at cost. To sum things up, I can't think of a better cheap chip for the price.
