THIS POST REALLY ******* PI$$ES ME OFF...... First, I have not bought a CD since AUG 1999. Second, I have over 12,000 burned cd's that I DO SELL and also keep for personal use. I DL Movies (regular) all the time. I would tell the NCAAP or whoever the **** it is that until they throw my *** in jail, im gonna download music and movies until the day I die. **** all of them, seriously. This is America baby! I dont give a **** if I put the record producers, janiotors, artist, whoever the **** out of a job, as long as I keep getting free music and movies! Yes I sell QUALITY bootlegs everyday, this is my MAIN source of income. **** all of them and keep downloading all the movies you want. Have a good day everyone and sorry for venting, but this really struck a nerve. **** all the record people...

I have had a similar problem with my cable internet going in and out intermittenly over the past few days, the IT guy on the phone couldn't give me any info as to why and is sending a technician out next week to check my modem. I use Comcast FWIW. I haven't downloaded any stuff like that (other than a small amount of porn, but I doubt that would raise any red flags) but your post has me curious.

Thanks for sharing

PG

WOW! I am screwed I downoad movies all the time.

[/ QUOTE ]

I wanna be screwed where is a good place to find full lenght torrents of movies (regular and adult )

[/ QUOTE ]

Usenet/newsgroups Binaries are the safest, highest quality, fast downloading option for those looking to "back-up" movies (yes adult) or any thing else in the world. Their is a bigger learning curve to use it then (limewire, ect.) but anyone here should be able to use it.

*note* depending on your ISP it may not be free. It used to be free with my old ISP now I am forced to pay $10 a month.

Holy sh$%^$t, I called my cable company to find out why my internet wasn't working. I thought it was a late bill perhaps. The lady says it's because of abuse and transfers me to tech sevice. I'm thinking, Oh boy, here we go!!!! So the tech lady says "Did you download the movie "The Italian Job" because we got a report from the MPAA that someone at that account downloaded copyrighted material. I'm thinking, that's it! I'm toast. But she basically said that as long as the movie is removed from the computer and I am aware that the cable modem account could be terminated if done again, then they will reconnect.

whew!!!!

wow - was this a torrent put out there by the industry to catch and warn people??? Has anyone ever had this happen to them?? Just so you know , I got it from Demenoid.com.

[/ QUOTE ]

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe it is a violation of copyright to download protected materials, only to upload them. I think all the MPAA and RIAA lawsuits have been against uploaders, not downloaders. I'm not sure I'd want to get into an argument with my cable company about the semantics of that difference but it might be a factor if you are sued.

Same thing happened to me with a movie download and my mom was really pissed because the letter said that if it happened again we would lose the internet and get sued etc. Now I just stick to downloading music and no more movies, unless I am on some other network

Im also curious what company this is.

I have SBC adsl and Im under the impression that the RIAA was suing them because they wouldn't release names of "offenders" downloading music. Which I can say Im happy about if SBC won.
