No, I don't blame the player at all. I blame the software. Why is it that when a player gets low on chips, they win probably 60-70% of the time, even when they're a heavy underdog?

So I saw people on other boards post about the free ipod giveaways with the subscription service. Many of the services were 1 month trials (blockbuster, efax, etc) so people would sign up, enter their credit card, get credit for the referral, then cancel in 2 weeks, and not even get charged. Do that and have 5 referrals to receive an ipod/monitor/ps2/whatever.

I thought it would work, but many people posted all their results without paying a cent. Free gear is always good.

I want to find people doing that (who's process works) to get one of those Ipod Shuffles. Those things are slick.

Yeah...if you read my blog, I think the software the runs these sites are somewhat rigged. Obviously, it's not complete rigged because you control your own actions, but it's rigged so that they can control how much they make.

What's needed for the free iPod on boogster? Anyone know how much I need to deposit?

[/ QUOTE ]

You need 30000 points for the free ipod. You have to play about 100-250 hands per site, and each site ranges from 2000 to 7000 points. You could get the ipod by doing 6 sites, whoring one site at a time. Assuming you're a breakeven player, you could probably get the ipod with 100 dollars of poker money, just moving it from site to site after you complete the 250 hand requirement.

The most popular site is Freeipods.com (my code included in that link). You sign up, complete an offer, and get 5 friends to do the same. One important thing to note, is that you have to look like you actually wanted the offer. So if you do blockbuster.com, rent a free movie or two. My friends that didn't rent didn't get credit, so I'm short 2 people. Best offer i've found is completing the Ancestry.com offer (if it's available) because it gives credit automatically.
