i dont know anything about this video game, but for me personally, i evolved into poker from magic the gathering. the learned strategy made it a smooth transition.

I've also been a pro gamer and much of what pzhon said is right on the money.

The other skills that I think transfer to poker are obsession and research. If you can play a game for 6 hours a day and do this religiously then you can do the same with poker. You have got to practice to get good.

As for research I mean, reading about the game and learning new techniques. Whether it be on the games main message boards etc. The same goes for poker. You should start to frequent these boards and read the suggested poker books. It's sometimes like you are doing research and studying a topic.
