Re: I hate the min raise.
[ QUOTE ]
Raise preflop. Fold the flop. That said, calling those little bets is great sometimes, especially when you hit the river and bet the pot. The turn raise sucked, BTW. [/ QUOTE ] hm.. i dont like raising with TT at early blinds. you're unlikely to get the limper to fold. heck, sb and bb might also call since this is a 10+1. if a jqka flops, you're not going to be happy. that's alot of cards you're hoping in not seeing. if checked to you on the flop, you bet out and hopefully win it right there. if check/riased, you can let the TT go. but if they just call, you're back to being unhappy. now if you just limped with TT, you can do the same as above w/o risking more chips. Why raise preflop with TT w/1 limper and blinds yet to act? |

Re: I hate the min raise.
You're too early on for something like this. The players at that level will gladly call anything with anything so bluffing/semibluffing is somewhat dubious. 1) I raise pf. 2) I raise the flop to 50 or so if you want to make a play at the pot. If he calls I'm done b/c he definitely has an ace and will sink or swim with it. Representing a 3 doesn't seem like it'd work. Checking the river is obviously the correct play.

Re: I hate the min raise.
Limp is fine, fold the flop.
The turn raise is real bad. If I had to make a raise it would be on the flop. I would check-fold if called. |

Re: I hate the min raise.
[ QUOTE ]
Turn: (t117.50) 3 (3 players) SB checks, MP2 bets t15, Hero raises to t125, SB folds, MP2 calls t110. [/ QUOTE ] Do you need this pot? Also, what hands could MP2 have here? He limped, so let's rule out high pocket pairs. Ax is a possibility, along with some other trash hands. If MP2 called Ax preflop, do you really think he's going to fold on an A hi flop? If MP2 is bluffing, do you really think he'll call you with something worse? Now that you've answered those, what purpose does your turn raise serve? |
