Party $55 sng. early in the tourney, 6th or 7th hand. Everyone is around t1000. Blinds are 10/15.

Flop is 9TJ rainbow. EP goes allin, MP instantly called. What's the play and why?

[/ QUOTE ]

First, 910J, is an open ended straight draw, not a rainbow flop.

I'd fold my Top pair, here's my thinking;

someone has two pair, someone has as straight, both likely.

See, the thing about this hand is....its not a good mindset to say "am i beaten (now)"....the thing is :

YOU CANNOT BE AHEAD BY MUCH

Due to the preflop action, the ONLY hand you are a big favorite over is KK. And even that has a gutshot.

Virtualy every single hand that can call your p/f raise, either outflopped you (2 pair/set) or has a stong draw at that str8.

Personally, i'd be ready to toss AA to the original bet. That a 2nd player called before you...it becomes a no-brainer.

Doyle does an excellent job of illustrating this situation is S/S...im not at home, but if i was, i'd type it out here, its that good.

By rainbow I mean 3 different suits. I thought that's what rainbow mean. If not, my mistake.

rainbow means 3 different suits.

Uncoordinated means split up w/ no likely straight/flush draw.
