wow... what a weekend of traveling and drinking, solid st patricks partys last night and a little tour of western ny in for good measure..

In a nutshell, scalping refers to betting both sides of the same wager in a way that guarantees a profit no matter the outcome. For example, a few weeks ago I scalped a prop bet on whether Kansas would be a #1 seed in the NCAA tourney. I got "Yes" at -125 and "No" at +195. These were two books offering vastly different odds on the exact same bet. That is just free money. The great thing about scalps is that you can basically bet as much as the book will take, since you have no risk (assuming you set the bet amounts correctly).
