Re: This Is Why I Hate NL
I don't know if the converter messed up but how is the pot $45.75? You both had stacks of ~$40 so shouldn't it be about $80-90? It also doesn't say your (BB) action preflop. I assumed you reraised all-in? If so you shouldn't be upset. It looks to me like you got your stack committed preflop with KK against AKo. You're a big favorite. If you're upset because he made a flush and that's how you lost you need to be less results orientented I'd say. Look at like this, you're a 65% favorite (I don't know the exact % off the top of my head). No matter HOW he wins, it's just one of the 35% of the boards that make him win. Hopefully that helps.
Personally, this exact situation is exactly why I love NL. JKratzer |

Re: This Is Why I Hate NL
This is why you have a much bigger bankroll for NL, 20 - 30 buy-in.
If you can't stand the suckouts and variance, then play short stacked ie..buy-in 50xBB instead of 100x. Lawrence |

Lawrence [/ QUOTE ] I have the bankroll to cover it and before that hand, I was up $40 on other tables so I barely lost much. It's just reasons like that hand are why I left NL in the first place as swings can be harsh. If I was playing that hand on a limit table, I wouldn't have lost that much. I do wish to improve my NL game though so I got to take the crookeds with the straights. |

Re: This Is Why I Hate NL
Not sure why the hand ended up the way it did but yes, I raised all-in preflop.

Re: This Is Why I Hate NL
this should be the very reason to love NL
your superior will punish worse players significantly more than you would have done in limit games. you went in as nearly 2:1 favourite. you should really reconsider playing NL if you can't feel happy to put everytihing preflop with AA/KK vs worse hands regardless of result |

Re: This Is Why I Hate NL
This is more a case of
"I hate when I get weak and play above my bankroll in a game where if I lose one hand while I am a short stack it is going to piss me off so much Ill have to post bad beats on 2+2 even though I know nobody cares" |
