I'm only in if they are Paulson's.

Look's like this buy is going to take a while to happen. Suspect that I should get a small set from the Bond group buy and sell those when these are ready.

Paulsons are better feel to me, and more classic and traditional.

Chipcos are better for high rez graphics or striking pictures. Also more durable.

I truly like both. I'm young enough that my first time in a casino exposed me to both Chipco (Bally's, Luxor) and Paulson at the same time. Older people will always dislike Chipco since they are not the original casino chip type.

i voted go elsewhere, but only b/c i think the inlay shape was my favorite part of the project. i think the artwork is great, but the inlay shape idea is the dogs bullocks.

dunno, would we have any luck getting asm to do the inlays we discussed? i have some bond samples, and i agree, they're the best of my samples. i'd be willing to wait if we needed to though (asm).

it's taken nearly two weeks to get my pc.com sample, so i understand that would suck. and i'm waiting for matsui samples now too. i'm in it for the longhaul, though, b/c i'm excited about custom clays, and i like what we saw from the #2 design. but, and i know i don't need to reiterate this but i will anyhow, i'm still praying for some sweet varied inlay action.

I say if you can get custom colors, custom inlay shapes, and a custom mold with great chips --- who need Paulson?

BTW -- what, exactly does it take to get custom chips from Paulson or BJ, for example? They obviously make lots of custom designs for the casinos. Does it take more than 100K chip order? Do you have to be a registered casino? Could we get a casino to order these (maybe as NCV) for us?

If you have bond samples that are NOT paulson, then you most likely have Blue Chip samples.

I'm about 85% sure that what I will do is alter two things on each denom: The amount and the main graphic. That leaves the Club name and the watermark to keep the cohesion between chips. I think it'll look great and still provide a varied (not boring) set.

With Blue Chip, you can go straight to them and make your own custom order. Beware though, I've heard many bad things about service and quality there. They do not have a web site. The one guy I know that made a personal custom order was not happy with the results. BC is not maliciously bad, I just think they are geared for wholesale and not used to one-on-one sales.

With Paulson, you have one choice and one choice only: Buy minimum 100,000 units from Trademarkpoker.com. They are the official, one and only, distributor for Paulson home chips. So far there has been only one custom order, and it is the James Bond chips from dice702. Ours will be the second custom order.

Ok, we've gotten about 50 votes now so I'll speak up.

If you think of it in the simplist terms, then we go Paulson no matter what. I mean, if you want ASM chips, you can go buy them yourself (and wait). Same thing with Matsui, you don't get much of a discount for huge buys. It's a 10¢ discount for 50,000+ orders.

The main reason to go Paulson, even without the coveted modifications, is because we will be unique. You will have the only new Paulsons that aren't James Bond or stock trademarks. Not only is this very cool, but is also more secure for your games.

And finally, Paulson will hold its resale value (or GROW it) if you ever decide to sell them. Just for the name alone, but also because of the quality. (quality that we have confirmed with samples)

These are the reasons I voted for Paulson all-the-way.

That's kinda my feeling. There are other chipco, ASM and TRK orders out there. Paulson would be unique and exclusive.
