Scotty didn't drink at the final table untill maybe right before he went out. He just caught a bad run of cards.
He was, however, drunk the night before when he amassed all those chips.

obviously i just starting following televised poker. apparently scotty's drinking is well known. Yes i've been to casino before and yes i know people drink at the table, i just didn't a world class player would be drinking at the table during the final stages of a major poker tournamnent. apparently i'm naive i guess.

Both Scotty and Men "The Master" drink beer at the table and both claim it doesn't affect their play. Some I'm sure would dispute that.

But who knows? Maybe without the beer to relax them, they wouldn't play aggressive enough.

I thought the only thing interesting about showing Scotty drinking a beer is that the WPT seems to frown on showing player's drinking.

Of course on celebrity poker half of the players seem drunk and drinking is seemingly encouraged... Also on most other televised tourneys you see any number of players enjoying a drink.

One of the funnier moments of the WSOP coverage was seeing Men do a spit take and spew Corona all over the table during the first stud tournament. Ted Forrest was joking quite a bit about how much Men was drinking that day.

Hey, Lee is that really you? If so, how about a word on the 106 hand.
