[ QUOTE ]
I used to play a lot at Russell Square and they spread low limit holdem Friday nights. Sad ever since it closed.

Roy was the best. Anyone know what he is doing today?

Working at the gutshot. Basically the dungeon moved there.

If planning on going tuesday its beginners night and gets particulary packed so get there early.

Yes, Tuesday night is beginners night, so not the best night to go if you want "play". Basically it's a £5 rebuy nolimit tourney (a total crapshoot which is just designed to give new players a taste of what poker tournaments are all about) Its a lot of fun, but not much real pokerinvolved. Wednesday is better (£30 rebuys) or Thursday (£50 freezeout)

i played at the vic 10 times or so. it was a pretty nice place. the games range from 1/2 poound pl to 5/10 pound pl i believe. the games were extremely soft when i was there. to get into the victoria you need to fax them over an application form the day before.
