Re: Walk me through this hand
I think anytime you win an uncontested pot is wonderful. Nothing worse than getting QQ cracked by Ax because you left the door open.

What about the Maths
I've got to disagree, if I put my opponents on a range of hands - Ax and medium pair, or perhaps Ax & Ax, then I'm really only worried about the 3 remaining aces (in which case I can get away from my hand) or the 2 remaining cards for the set in which case I go bust. Everyone says push, but surely if I'd have made a bet of 200, although it would have been -EV, hands like AQ, AJ or AT might have called.
Horrible maths? Would I be correct to say that medium pairs should only really call anything up to T65 (2 cards remaining from 47, with a final pot - assuming they get my stack - of 1540) and aceholders anything up to T53 (3 cards remaining from 47, with a final pot - assuming I fold if an Ace falls - of 825)? |

Re: What about the Maths
Ehhh, there's 800+ in the pot. I go get it now.
Also, these yoyos like their hands enough to call 250 preflop. Who's to say one of the won't come along for the ride. That board has to look pretty good to a guy with 88-TT who was silly enough to call a 17BB raise PF. If I had KK I might consider a 200-300 bet on the flop IF and only IF I had enough chips to then make a truly punishing bet on the turn should a 2-flush or 3 to a straight show up. |

Re: Walk me through this hand
Does anyone make an arguement here for betting 250-350 on this flop hoping to entice 88-TT or any small pair to move in on him liking he's making a stab with AK? I certainly don't mind giving someone the opportunity to make a play at the pot knowing even with Ax they're only drawing to 3 outs at best with only 2 cards to come.
