As a complete aside Party Gaming owns PartyPoker.com. They are talking about an ipo next year. Given their 80% net per year that sound like it might be interesting to buy into.

i just received an e-mail about this morning's catch 22 bug saying they fixed it in last night's update (which i had to download this morning before playing)

WPTOnline has 100 times better chance to reach critical mass than PokerMountain, because they already have the brand recognition. It's still going to be tough for them.

I just don't see how a site like Mountain can make it. Yes, "growing pains", but why players should care? The only ways for a new site to succeed today is to have at least two of 3 features below:

- perfect software including major innovations (tournament deal button is not it)
- huge marketing budget - over $50M/year
- big brand name
