You know what? I actually agree with you now. Having explained your reasoning, I take back my comment. It was a good inducement of a bluff on the river, when very little villian could have been holding was something he would have called with had you beat him.

Good play.

A strong Ace should sometimes call here, check behind but not bet out because they often beat a bluff and pairs don't fold often enough to make a bet profitable. However, I frequently see a strong Ace bet when checked to here and make silly calls. If you're going to check to induce a bluff from a strong ace or small poket pair then let him make an even bigger mistke and check/raise the river (throw in a 2 second pause before you raise.) I think he'll quite often call just to see what you have.

I don't understand why you're using the stop n go so much, because nothing about MP3's play suggests that you might be behind.

Why did you check-call the flop?
