I whine a lot to Bicyclekick, NLSoldier, and to a lesser extent Gonores.

Alright, I sent some whining back to him today. Nothing like losing 6k in an hour this afternoon, or in bb terms a little more than a big bet per minute (was playin 40/80 and 50/100)

Yuck.

And now i've whined to you guys too.

What I do is wait for the rakeback money to come in next month so I can get started rebuilding at .5/1.

The most important thing I do is make sure that I am in the right frame of mind to play well the next time I sit down at a table. Sometimes this requires not thinking about poker for a day, sometimes I need to examine my play, sometimes i just need to go out for a night and have a good time. It varries, cause downswings are caused my a lot of different variables. So the solution is not cut and dry.

I think the mental part of poker -- like golf -- is the one of the most overlooked thing. It really is up to you to figure out how to get your self into a good mental state. Good Luck!
