I also agree with fish. You must protect yourself in all possible ways when dealing with TV-people/journalists. They choose the angle, they have all the control and they may not always want to communicate what they are thinking and how they will angle the whole production. Demand loads of cash and get everything in writing.

Default Advice from a site operator

Generally good advice, except for the "demand lots of cash part" ... Name players "demand lots of cash". What you have, perhaps, is publicity on your side. A site will consider springing for someone who brings his own television crew of course, but "lots of cash" is not likely to come out of this directly.

My advice, as someone who would certainly welcome a televised entree to the UK market, is to have your procuer friend contact me with some verifiable credentials and a pitch. My email is management@truepoker.com.

(What you might have to consider is that he can switch horses at the drop of a hat, so get your participation in writing ASAP.)

I suspect that going from an amatuar trying desperatley to qualify for the WSOP to being an amataur with a sponsored seat in the WSOP isnt going to be much of a show.

But guess could use it as a backup if dont qualify and I am sure they might gloss over how entry was won.

There is a book that has a guy doing the same thing I forget the name of it but is a decent read about a journalist who went pro for a year, I'm not at home so cant check.

If you fancy playing in the WSOP I would do it, reality TV in the UK is such that unless you are like her off Wife Swop or have some other sensational aspect of your life then the documentary isnt going to ruin your life, probably isnt going to make you rich but is probably a cool experience to try. I would do it, so if you wont send him my way .

If the film involves some porn action, you could contact Poker Mountain and the MILFHUNTER.
