2) get rid of that silly metric system thing

[/ QUOTE ]

Practically every developed country aside from the proud/ignorant Americans have recognized the metric system (or SI) is far superior

Most Americans actually like the metric system. You think high schoolers are doing their work in science with feet and inches?

Hey, lets not forget all of us on the west coast, it blows to have a tourney that starts before most people would get home from work, or early in the morning on the weekends, nevermind those that live in Hawaii (3 hours behind LA)

I really hope not, and if they do, I feel for them. But as far as I know, the US still recognizes the Imperial System as their standard units, whether the majority of people prefer it or not. I suppose the "proud/ignorant" comment was uncalled for and an overgeneralization.

That can be noted as an exception (along with weight, and certain other measurements) as most people using the metric system would not be able to tell you that. I for one, would not know it off hand, it would take me about 10 secs or so to think about it.

the game is called "texas hold'em", not "preston hold'em". there is a reason. you europeans only play it because you long to be american at heart, and for that, good fellow, i cannot blame you.

It really doesn't seem to make any sense that satellites for a UK tournament are at times that are really crappy for UK players.
