Maybe you're a better player than I am, but I just wonder what hand you're putting him on that he plays this way.
If he had a weak Ax clubs, wouldn't he have bet the flop or semi bluffed and check-raised the turn? I just wonder what hands you can put him on that he would've played this way. Even in $100 tournaments, people who slow play top two pair, slowplay a set, or have a lower flush would've played the hand the same way villian did. There are three hands that beat hero: Ax cl, Qx clubs, and Jx clubs. If villian is such a good player, I highly doubt he makes that kind of raise with Qx or Jx - he may be worried that hero has the nuts. If he had Ax clubs, he would've bet the flop and/or check-raised the turn. Why drag this hand out? I hope the OP posts the result, but without being results oriented, I think this is a relatively easy call. You may be beat, but given all the factors, including remaining chips of 4,000 if beat, I'd call this pretty quickly. |
