Now that you have satisfied your curiosity, it is time for you to learn money management skills. All the poker talent in the world can't help you if you don't have money management skills. You can play tight, but because of the luck factor people can catch a card to crack your AA. So in order to account for this luck factor you must be properly bankrolled, my friend. Play .05/.10 Limit with your $40 bankroll. If you are good, then you will make it. Be Patient. Everything takes time.

the title of your post is what is most telling here. i could say with near certainty, that if you are that emotionally fragile, that you should cash out and never play this game online for money.

if you want to have a good time playing hold'em, do it live, and think of the money you risk as part of your entertainment budget.

cheers!

Quick question though.. is the 300BB rule strict to Limit play? I would assume for NL you would want more, correct?

[/ QUOTE ]

For NL, you usually refer to the ammount of "buyins" you need, not BB's

So for 50bb stacks you want 30, and for 100bb stacks you could get away with 20-25

Ex. Party $.5/1 game = $1500
Stars $.5/1 = $2000

Don't let other crazy people tell you different, the bigger bankroll the better

Thats alright I had 50 bucks and tried to play the 15/30 game, and I played really tight and didn't see any hands. Before I know it I was blinded out. What went wrong? Can anyone stake me I'm really good.

is 50 not enough for 15/30?

$50 is perfect... While I don't play 15/30 we should play headsup.

First of all, how much do you know about the game? What books have you read?
