Re: what to do in Philly?
My top picks for quick and good food:
1) Get a cheesesteak at Pat's or Geno's. 2) Get a Chicken Cutlet Supreme at Tony Luke Jr's. 3) Go to Lombardi's Pizza, some of the best pizza in Philly. You can see more at: http://www.hollyeats.com/Philadelphia.htm Swing into any of the bajillion bars around the city, if you hang in Center City...you can't really walk a block or two without running into a bar/restaurant. Too much to list, really depends on your interests and atmosphere, check out Phillytown's website (although a bit cheesey of a layout, it has a bit of info) http://www.phillytown.com/ Also, you can peruse Philadelphia.com for various venues of nightlife interest. http://www.philadelphia.com/nightlife/ |

Re: what to do in Philly?
A. I find there's lots to do in A/C besides gamble, especially in the summer.
B. You want to avoid center city. It's kind of boring there and there aren't as many bars. You want to stay around Walnut, Market and from Front to 6th Ave. There are TONS of bars/clubs/restaurants there. The Stephen Starr restaurants rule the city. Love them or hate them, they are the benchmarks. Dave and Busters (Chuck E Cheese for adults) is on Columbus right on the river. Columbus used to be called Delaware and most locals still call it that. There is a shaker bar called Show and Tel on Columbus too about a mile south of D&B's. |

Re: what to do in Philly?
I was watching Insomniac with Dave Atell on Comedy Central long time ago...
And he ate at this place. It was open to the street, kind of like when you're at the fair, and all the workers were talking [censored] to all the customers, and vice-versa. People specifically went to this place so they could do this. I think it was in Philly. I hope someone knows where this is and what it's called. I want to go there. Anyone? |

Is this against the philly code to eat at both? [/ QUOTE ] Nobody cares. 90% of the people who go there are tourists. |
