You are both right, of course. I think I was trying to say the same thing in a kinder gentler way.

But A-K is a very pretty hand. Much more attractive than a pair of 9s, for example, especially if you get the ace of spades!

Before you flip your cards you are hoping for a good hand. Once you see that A-K, you have nothing but hope--but you have a lot of it!!!

I guess, what I am really trying to say is, I really dont. At least not in the same way I do when I see 2 black cowboys or those twin spires AA staring back at me.

QQ is pretty damn exciting also.

When I see AK or JJ Im really just thinking: Uh Oh dont get yourself busted here by overplaying this hand. Thats probably a leak in my game. Oh Well. I mean late in a tourney im rolling with AK but early I just dont wanna bust out with ace-high.
