Read my other post I think a river bluff would have more equity if I bet the turn.

I have to agree after reading Clark's post re Mirage games. SoCal is different - see my last reply to Clark

Never played in SoCal myself and this was my first time playing in Vegas so I was in somewhat foreign territory myself. If this were Turning Stone or Foxwoods I would be very inclined to bet the turn and induce a fold most of time (at least against a player like I described). And if this were in my hometown well, the casino's only have 2-5 spread limit and there would be 5 or 6 more players involved in the hand.

Maybe SoCal has muddled my mind. Here if I bet I always get called. Most of the games here turn into a hornets net from the afternoon on.

I agree that it's venue specific advice.

Hell, the 20/40 games here have 4-5 players per hand, lol.
Best to you

Thanks, I will remember to adjust my play next time I'm in your neck of the woods. Same advice apply to Bellagio?

Not as much, but more than you'd think compared to other places.

As long as it isn't O8!
I stood there watching the 20/40 half kill (which was 30/60 every hand) kicking myself for not having the money to sit down. I watched 20 or 25 hands and there weren't less than 7 players taking a flop

Much thanks as I play there 4-5 times a year in either the 15 or the 30.

What is my turn action and why?

[/ QUOTE ]

Your turn action is to bet, and your river action is to bet if you don't improve.

Why? Because you'll win a lot of money in this game if you do.
