Re: Recently saw Super Size Me
I like how they showed his dietician recommending him to eat about 2-3k calories per day to maintain his weight, and he regularly was eating 5k+... and you wonder why he gained weight?

The whole movie reeks of "I have no responsibility for my own actions". [/ QUOTE ] I dissagree. I think that the point of the movie is that it is unhealthy to eat fast food. In my case the movie inspired me to stop eating fast food, not to sue McDonald's for my obesity. As far as exercise goes, he made it very clear that he was not exercising (in order to simulate the conditions of many Americans). (If you watch the comentary, you learn that he actually didn't hold his activity as low as he wanted to. He ended up walking about 3.5 mile per day.) |

Re: Recently saw Super Size Me
if you eat that many calories worth of anything each day you will gain as much weight. it's quite possible to eat at mcdonald's every day and lose weight too.

[/ QUOTE ] Worst 8th Grade field trip ever. and that Sam Slater, what an ass. Didn't he steal a bunch of secret mill running plans and illgeally smuggle them out of Britain to America. And then we were told to worship him like he was some hero. I hate US public schools history curriculum. |
