Don't set a monetary goal but an hourly goal. Just tell yourself that you are going to play 8hrs/day, and everything should fall into place.

Also, I'd suggest to move up to 100NL, you should be able to keep your WR at its current rate (I did when I moved up).

very good advice here ^

agreed, NL100 is where its at on party.

I would also suggest time oriented goals. Such as play 5 hours of solid poker a day.

The winnings will come.

Dbowl only playes full ring, and he found the $100 to be incredibly rockish and he has lost like $1,000 in the 2x he has attempted to move up.

Figured I'd fill in for him since he is not posting today.

Thanks sponge, i was sleeping. I didnt get home from commerce until 7am. I played a few hundred hands, then slept. Now im up and ready to go. Yea, 100nl has been a disaster so far for me. I think a lot of it is varience, but i dont have the patience, bankroll, or willpower to fight through twice the $$$ loss.

Did you ever think that when you were a winning player , you won because you weren't goal-oriented ? Now you have set some monetary goals for yourself you might be more focused on winning a pot rather than playing a hand correctly.

[/ QUOTE ]

I havent (until now) set any monetary goals for myself. I just decided that i would play and things would fall into place. It worked great in december, except for the fact that i played a lot less hours than i would have liked to.

lol i understand what you are saying, im not going to focus on the money too much, its important to me to win, but its more of a marketing scheme. Because how exciting does "60 hours in 10 days" sound?
