Re: $1000 gone in 30 seconds!!!
Don't worry, this exact thing happened to me with Empire just a few weeks ago. I was unable to get it resolved after abo0ut three days of emailing so I wouldn't even bother with that. It took about three minutes with a phone call.
I called pay-pro and like I said, it took about three minutes. Although I had the transaction number from neteller as I recall Pay-pro just needed my screen name at Empire to find the missing transaction. Pay-pro's number is (888) 699-3808 (toll free). Good luck. --Zetack edit...that's toll free in the US or canada only. |

am suppose to believe in: 1) Probabilities (ala Sklansky) and 2) random number generators. So what are the chances of this happening back to back like it did? These are off-shore gambling houses. Is it too far-fetched to believe (in this day-and-age of Enrons, etc.) that a RNG may be skewed? Just a little bit to encourage big hands and big rakes [/ QUOTE ] You should believe it is fixed but keep it to yourself, noone here cares. |

Nope. I haven't figured out yet the "online probability tables" for poker. But I'm working on it. Heck, I guess it is OK to play for play money for the time being, while I figure things out.

Re: $1000 gone in 30 seconds!!!
It's easy to say that it should never happen, but the fact is that whenever something's transferred over the internet there's a chance that it will flub. It's obviously in the poker site's interest to make sure that your neteller account is charged first before they give you the money, because if the latter happens and not the former, who's going to bring it to their attention?
You'll be fine though-- just give them a call and they'll fix it right up. |

I haven't figured out yet the "online probability tables" for poker. [/ QUOTE ] They are the same probabilities as B&M poker. Sigh, another "online poker is probably rigged" poster. The math has been done, and it shows a normal hand distribution when playing online poker. If you don't believe that, just assume it's rigged and don't bother us about it. |

Re: $1000 gone in 30 seconds!!!
My basic question is this: are these online poker agencies (financial and casinos) audited (technology and books) and if so by whom? This is pretty basic and a requirement here in the U.S. Not that means all that much considering the market fiasco of the 90s. But hopefully, at least some of the auditing houses have been cleaned up.
If you are suggesting I based my decision on faith - well I will have to talk to my religious leader for that advice. And if I am just going to be giving away money, well there is a panhandler down the street who is probably just as worthy. Rich |

Re: $1000 gone in 30 seconds!!!
I've had it happen to my deposit long time ago. Contact neteller on live chat, ask for the transaction# of your 1k deposit. then email empire your id/ transaction code and they will credit you. took me about 2 hours to get it sorted out for me, I'm sure you will be fine.

If you are suggesting I based my decision on faith - [/ QUOTE ] I wasn't. Around here, we base things on facts. But everyone is pretty sick of dealing with people who refuse to believe online poker isn't rigged. Try a search.. you should find about 2,000 threads in the past month dealing with this issue. [ QUOTE ] My basic question is this: are these online poker agencies (financial and casinos) audited (technology and books) and if so by whom? [/ QUOTE ] Yes they are. You can find this out by going to the poker websites yourself. The deal is independently reviewed and blah blah blah... fin. |

Re: $1000 gone in 30 seconds!!!
Hmmm ... I couldn't find that information on their websites. I think one claimed that their generator was audited by some technology firm, but such a firm does not have the same legal standing or liability that an audit firm has (every U.S corporation of a certain size must be auditted and provide necessary documentation to shareholders).
Since you have the "facts", would you mind sharing them with me. If anyone else has researched this matter - I am speaking of official audits - I would appreciate the information. If you are suggesting that I believe everything on blind faith - well I am a little old, and a little poorer to go down that road again. Thanks. Rich |
