Re: 1/2 stud high heads up
Far from standard? Are you saying you check behind a typical opponent?

Re: 1/2 stud high heads up
Is it standard to fold to no bet?
Opponent has played every hand so far. When you have a very loose opponent, the paired door card becomes a lot less scary. |

Re: 1/2 stud high heads up
Someone who pairs their door card and checks... Yes I often check behind them . I will rarely double bet. to Double Bet behind someone who pairs their door card then checks is Far from standard.
In this case its ok because of the bad playing opponents. but in numerious other cases you will often end up with an empty sack or will be beaten senseless. betting with this hand , in this position against this board if you do get called you will either be a small favorite or a big dog. But against a certifiable calling station who plays every hand a double bet is fine. I kind of like the single bet though. as it is less likely to scare out the second ( or third ) best money. |

Re: 1/2 stud high heads up
If you get called by two pair, you are a sizable favorite. I think you're going to be good far too often to just check behind. Given hero's characterization of opponent, I think checking behind would be criminal. Against most players, I think it's still a clear bet.
