Default Re: Casino Whoring vs. Poker Whoring: Hourly Rate

vindikation

I'm sorry if I came off as an [censored] to you, seriously. I don't think that I'm a bad guy as a whole and I guess I myself am guilty of "tilting" this time around. mea culpa.

if this thread was entitled "casino whoring vs. poker whoring: which is more fun", then personal experiences and feelings would be more valid for input in regards to kenberman's initial inquiry (which btw he appears most grateful for my help, that's all that really matters in the end). I see a couple of zoo heads have their opinions about what I said here yet no one replied with any mathematical substance to justify anything except some mysterious bias against the game of blackjack itself, despite a similar online bonus profitability structure and arguably lower bankroll variance.

I never said online blackjack was "better" than poker. I do as much poker whoring as the next guy but I never pass up free, quick money from the casinos on the side. do you think that casino bonuses are fading because people are NOT taking advantage of them too much? think about it. as to all the other casino whore haters lurking here with their one line responses, please at least bring something to the table, or maybe don't sit down. thanks

Having the game be boring does affect EV though. It's human nature to try and get boring menial tasks done as quickly as possible. This can lead to increasing bet sizes which can drastically increase your ROR which in turn affects your EV and often leads to busting out. I'm not going to take advantage of a casino offer that might yield me $30 in one hour even though that might be more than I make at poker simply because I don't want to spend a full hour playing boring ass blackjack.

Personally I don't do many casino bonuses anymore unless they're on microgaming sites or the bonus is well worth it ($150+).
